Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in El Calafate. Reception and transfer to the hostel. You'll be staying in a hostel with the best travellers' atmosphere.
Day 2: Breakfast. Full-day excursion to the Moreno Glacier. In the evening, we recommend you to visit Laguna Nimes to watch the marvellous regional birds.
Day 3: Free day. There are several activities that can be done in El Calafate, like horseback riding, sailing in the lake to visit Upsala Glacier or going on an excursion in a 4WD vehicle. Accommodation in the same hostel.
Day 4: Breakfast. In the morning you will take the bus to El Chalten (approx. 4 1/2 hours). In this route you will feel the vastness of Patagonia. Arrival in the village of El Chaltén. Accommodation in the best hostel in El Chaltén.
Day 5: Breakfast. This day is free for you to trek in the area. We suggest trekking to the base of the Fitz Roy Mt. This is an 8-hour route with an amazing view.
Day 6: Breakfast. This day is free for you to trek in the area. We suggest Torre Mount and Torre Glacier 8-hour trekking. It is possible to do trekking in Torre Glacier (this is the best option for trekking in a glacier in Patagonia. It is an unforgettable experience). This excursion can be arranged either in Buenos Aires or directly in Patagonia. Accommodation in a hostel.
Day 7: Breakfast. Free day. In the evening you take the bus back to El Calafate. Accommodation in the same hostel in El Calafate.
Day 8: Breakfast. Full-day excursion to Torres del Paine National Park. First you have a morning bus to Chile. It takes approximately 3 hours to the border. Then you change buses and star the tour through the park. This regular excursion visits other corners of the Park, such as Lago Pehoé, Salto Chico, Administration Headquarters and Lago Gray. Box Lunch is included. Return in the evening to Puerto Natales. Accommodation in a hostel in shared rooms.
Day 9: Breakfast. Free morning in this fishing village by the shores of The last Hope Sound ("Seno de Última Esperanza"), on the Pacific Ocean. In the afternoon, you take a bus to Punta Arenas. Night in a hostel.
Day 10: Breakfast. Morning bus to Ushuaia (approx. 12 hours), crossing the Strait of Magellan by ferry to Tierra del Fuego., and arriving in Ushuaia at around 8 pm. Night in a hostel.
Day 11: Breakfast. Full-day trekking excursion in Tierra del Fuego National Park, returning to Ushuaia in the evening. It's a tree hour trekking tour, including a Box Lunch and then a canoeing tour through Lapataia River. Return to the hostel in the evening.
Day 12: Breakfast. Half-day navigation through the Beagle Channel. Night in hostel.
Day 13: Breakfast. Transfer to the Airport.
